Should women use prayer shawl?

My pastor's wife says that women should always cover their heads while praying. She quoted 1 Cor 11:6 . At the same time, she asked all the women in our church to buy prayer shawls to use while praying. She also said that we will get visions while using this shawl. But I am not getting any visions. Is something wrong with me?

Answer :

Your pastor's wife has used 1 Cor 11:6. Let us first see the verse.

If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head. 1 Cor 11:6

There is a big debate going on to find whether a woman should cover her head or not. On the other side, Christian businessmen have found this verse to be a great opportunity to sell prayer shawls.

Shawls are sold to women with the announcement - " Prophetic shawl- The shawl that helps women to prophecy". Many women have fallen victims to this business deal.

Note: The prayer shawl is costly compared to the prayer oil and the target audience is only women. So this business is adopted only by specialists who have the knack of luring naive women.

The prayer shawl has no power. The one who answers the prayer has the power. The visions are given by him and not the prayer shawl. Don't fall into such traps.
